Non-Asbestos Jointing Sheets KNNY250

Non-Asbestos Jointing Sheets KNNY250

Model:KNXB200
KNNY250 is a compressed non-asbestos jointing sheet engineered for water, steam and general pipeline flange service. It is made from a special non-asbestos heat-resistant fiber combined with heat-resistant packing material and a natural rubber binder, consolidated by hot compression molding. Rated to 1.5 MPa working pressure and 200 °C working temperature, KNNY250 delivers higher tensile strength (≥10.0 MPa) and rebound (≥45%) than the lighter KNNY150 grade, while remaining cost-efficient compared with KNNY300 and KNNY350. It is a direct substitution for corresponding asbestos rubber sheet models. Six standard sheet sizes from 1270 × 1270 mm to 4100 × 1500 mm, all available in 0.5–6.0 mm thickness. Standard export packing on wooden pallets of 1000 kg or 2000 kg net. OEM / wholesale pricing from one pallet. Kaxite also supplies the full non-asbestos jointing sheet range from KNNY150 through KNNY350 and KNXB200 through KNXB350.

Non-Asbestos Jointing Sheet KNNY250 for Steam, Water and Pipeline Flange Sealing — OEM Bulk Supply

KNNY250 is a compressed non-asbestos jointing sheet engineered for water, steam and general pipeline flange service, rated to 1.5 MPa working pressure and 200 °C working temperature. The sheet is built from a special non-asbestos heat-resistant fiber combined with heat-resistant packing material and a natural rubber binder, then consolidated by hot compression molding into a dense, dimensionally stable sheet.

It is the mid-range grade in the Kaxite non-asbestos jointing sheet line — a step above the lighter KNNY150 while remaining well below the KNNY300 and KNNY350 grades. KNNY250 is specified as a direct substitution for the corresponding asbestos rubber sheet models in water, steam and pipeline joint applications where a full asbestos-free specification is required.

Product Overview and Typical Applications

KNNY250 is produced from a special non-asbestos heat-resistant fiber, combined with heat-resistant packing material and a natural rubber compound, and consolidated by hot compression molding. The result is an asbestos-free jointing sheet that behaves like the corresponding asbestos rubber sheet models it replaces — with the same sealing performance envelope in water, steam and general pipeline flange service, without the asbestos content.

It is the grade most commonly specified when a buyer is replacing an existing asbestos sheet but does not need the higher mechanical strength of the KNXB or KNNY300+ grades. Typical applications include:

  • Water line flanges — cold and hot water piping flanges, pump connections and water treatment equipment joints where a 1.5 MPa / 200 °C rating is sufficient.
  • Steam pipe joints — low and medium pressure steam line flanges on general industrial steam distribution systems.
  • General pipeline joints — process piping flanges in refinery, chemical and industrial plant where a mid-range non-asbestos sheet is specified.
  • Asbestos sheet substitution — direct replacement for the corresponding asbestos rubber sheet models in existing installations.
  • Equipment sealing — gaskets for equipment in water and steam service across general industry.

Non-Asbestos Jointing Sheet KNNY250 — FAQ

Q 01

What is KNNY250 made from?

KNNY250 is made from a special non-asbestos heat-resistant fiber combined with heat-resistant packing material and a natural rubber compound, then consolidated by hot compression molding into a dense jointing sheet. It contains no asbestos and is a direct substitution for the corresponding asbestos rubber sheet models in water, steam and pipeline joint applications.

Q 02

What is the difference between KNNY250 and the other Kaxite non-asbestos grades?

KNNY250 sits in the middle of the range. It has higher tensile strength and rebound than KNNY150, but lower strength than KNNY300 and KNNY350. Choose KNNY250 when you need a reliable asbestos-free sheet for water, steam and pipeline service at 1.5 MPa / 200 °C, and cost efficiency matters. If your application requires higher mechanical strength or higher pressure-temperature capability, choose KNNY300 or KNNY350.

Q 03

What is the working pressure and temperature of KNNY250?

The rated working pressure is up to 1.5 MPa and the rated working temperature is up to 200 °C. This covers water, low and medium pressure steam, and general pipeline flange sealing service.

Q 04

Which sheet sizes and thicknesses are available?

Six standard sheet sizes: 4100 × 1500 mm, 2000 × 1500 mm, 1500 × 1360 mm, 3810 × 1270 mm, 1270 × 1270 mm and 1500 × 1500 mm. Standard thickness range is 0.5 mm to 6.0 mm. Custom sizes and thicknesses are produced to order for volume requirements.

Q 05

How is the sheet packed?

Standard export packing is on wooden pallets of approximately 1000 kg or 2000 kg net per pallet. Custom packaging and private-label marking are available for volume orders.

Q 06

Is KNNY250 a direct replacement for asbestos rubber sheet?

Yes. KNNY250 is designed as a direct substitution for the corresponding asbestos rubber sheet models in water, steam and general pipeline joint applications. It provides the same sealing function without the health and regulatory burden of asbestos-containing material.

Q 07

Can you supply batch certificates or third-party test reports?

Yes. Batch certificates covering tensile strength, density, compressibility and oil-seal test values are available on request. Third-party test reports from SGS or equivalent are available for volume orders — specify this requirement at the quotation stage.

Q 08

What quantity is required for OEM / wholesale pricing?

OEM and wholesale pricing applies from one pallet (~1000 kg). For regular supply agreements and container-load volumes, we can schedule recurring deliveries and quote tiered pricing. Send the annual or project quantity for volume tier details.
