Orange-Colored Teflon FEP Tubing — Clear, Flexible Fluoropolymer Tubing for Chemical, Semiconductor & Food Service

Orange-Colored Teflon FEP Tubing manufactured by Kaxite Sealing
Orange-Colored Teflon FEP Tubing — clear, flexible, chemically inert fluoropolymer tubing with a working range of −200 °C to +205 °C.

Orange-Colored Teflon FEP Tubing is a flexible, translucent fluoropolymer tube made from FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene). It is the preferred material for small-diameter tubing supplied in continuous lengths, because it combines the chemical inertness and dielectric properties of PTFE with better clarity, flexibility and melt-processability. The orange color is used as a visual identification aid in semiconductor wet benches, chemical injection lines, laboratory and food-processing systems. FEP tubing is an economical choice for applications that require chemical resistance and broad temperature exposure, and it is available in a wide range of standard sizes or custom dimensions on request.

What Is Orange-Colored Teflon FEP Tubing?

Orange-Colored Teflon FEP Tubing is a flexible tube extruded from FEP resin — a melt-processable fluoropolymer with a chemical structure similar to PTFE. Unlike PTFE, which cannot be melt-extruded, FEP can be processed into continuous lengths of small-diameter tubing with excellent dimensional consistency. FEP retains most of PTFE's chemical inertness and dielectric strength, while offering better clarity, flexibility and UV transmission. The working temperature range is −200 °C to +205 °C, slightly lower than PTFE but still suitable for the vast majority of chemical, semiconductor and food-processing duties.

The orange color is added as a visual identification aid, commonly used in semiconductor wet benches, chemical injection lines and laboratory systems to distinguish one fluid path from another. FEP tubing is non-wetting, non-stick and has a very low coefficient of friction, so liquids drain completely and material build-up is minimised. It contains no plasticiser, does not absorb moisture (water absorption < 0.01 %) and is FDA compliant for food-contact applications. FEP tubing is available in straight lengths or coils, in a wide range of standard sizes and custom dimensions, and can be ordered in various colors to meet your identification requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between FEP tubing and PTFE tubing?
FEP is a melt-processable fluoropolymer with a chemical structure similar to PTFE. It can be extruded into continuous lengths of small-diameter tubing with excellent dimensional consistency. FEP has a slightly lower working temperature (up to +205 °C vs. +260 °C for PTFE), but it is more transparent, more flexible and easier to process. Chemical resistance and dielectric properties are similar to PTFE.
What is the working temperature of Orange-Colored Teflon FEP Tubing?
The working temperature range is −200 °C to +205 °C. FEP retains its mechanical and dielectric properties across this range, and it is UV resistant, so it does not age under outdoor exposure.
Is FEP tubing suitable for food and pharmaceutical applications?
Yes. FEP tubing is FDA compliant and contains no plasticiser. It is non-wetting and does not absorb moisture, making it suitable for food processing, beverage handling and pharmaceutical manufacturing. For USP Class VI or other specific certifications, confirm the requirement with our technical team before ordering.
What sizes and colors are available?
Standard sizes range from 1/16" to 2" OD. Custom sizes are available on request. The tubing is supplied in straight lengths or coils, and in orange, natural, black or other colors for identification. Related products such as PTFE Tube and PTFE Rods are also available.
What are your MOQ, lead time and payment terms?
There is no minimum order quantity on standard sizes — sample and trial orders are welcome. Stock sizes ship in 7–15 days; custom extrusion takes 15–25 days. Standard payment terms are 30 % T/T deposit with the balance against copy of B/L, or L/C at sight for larger orders.
Do you supply material certificates?
Yes. Every batch is supplied with a material certificate covering resin grade, dimensions and key properties, plus a dimensional inspection report. Third-party inspection can be arranged on request.
