Kaxite KXT P101 Pure PTFE Packing is a flexible braided packing made entirely from 100% virgin PTFE yarn — without any PTFE dispersion, lubricant or additive. This makes it a truly non-contaminating sealing solution, ideal for chemical engineering, food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical production and liquid oxygen service where product purity is critical. What Is Pure PTFE Packing?
Pure PTFE Packing (also known as virgin PTFE braided packing or unlubricated PTFE packing) is a gland sealing product braided from 100% virgin PTFE yarn, with no PTFE dispersion, no grease, no silicone oil and no other additives.
Most PTFE packings sold on the market are impregnated — they contain PTFE dispersion, silicone oil or other lubricants to reduce friction and improve sealing. Those packings work very well in general industrial service, but the additives can leach out into the process fluid, contaminating the product, staining it, or introducing trace substances that are not acceptable in food, pharmaceutical, semiconductor or liquid oxygen service.
Kaxite KXT P101 takes the opposite approach: by braiding from pure PTFE yarn alone, the packing delivers all of the natural advantages of PTFE — chemical inertness, low friction, wide temperature range — without any risk of contamination. It is the correct choice wherever the process fluid must remain absolutely pure, or wherever the packing must not introduce any trace chemical into the system.

Rule of thumb: if the process fluid is food, drinking water, pharmaceutical or oxygen — or if any trace contamination would harm the product — always choose pure PTFE packing. If the process fluid is industrial and contamination is not critical, PTFE packing with oil or graphite PTFE packing will usually give better friction and sealing performance at a lower cost.

What chemicals is Pure PTFE Packing NOT suitable for?
