Braided graphite tube KXT 1830 is formed from expanded graphite yarn into a continuous flexible tube, supplied on 2 kg rolls for on-site gasket forming. It is used as an endless gasket strip on heat exchangers, boilers, process pipework flanges, doors and covers where the joint geometry is uneven, high temperature or high pressure. Standard version rated to 100 bar; wire-reinforced version rated to 200 bar. Working temperature range −240 °C to +550 °C; pH 0 – 14. Available in sizes from 1/2" up to 5", with optional self-adhesive film on one side for vertical and overhead installation. The tube is the field-formable sealing solution for plant shutdowns and turnarounds, where a pre-cut gasket cannot accommodate the actual joint geometry.
